How Do We Calculate PropIndeks™? Full Methodology & Algorithm [Update 2026]

Below you’ll find an exact, step-by-step description of the algorithm behind our proprietary indicator PropIndeks™ – a mathematical, objective measure of the strength and credibility of every prop trading firm, updated with new criteria for 2026.
The Four Pillars of PropIndeks™
Our algorithm rates each firm on a scale of 1–10, analyzing data across four key areas. Each pillar has an assigned weight that determines how strongly it influences the final score.
1. Community Trust (Weight: 40%)
The voice of the market matters most to us. The foundation of this category is the rating on the independent Trustpilot platform.
- Normalization: We convert the 5-star Trustpilot scale to our 10-point scale.
- Red Flag (Rule Violation): If a firm receives an official Trustpilot warning for review manipulation or guideline violations (resulting in a blocked rating), it receives a value of -1 in our system. This causes a drastic drop in trust and a zero score in this pillar — a clear warning signal for traders.
2. Stability & Experience (Weight: 25%)
A longer track record means lower risk of the firm suddenly disappearing. We reward firms that have survived various market cycles.
- 0 years: 2.0 pts (Every firm starts with a trust credit)
- 1 year: 4.0 pts
- 2 years: 6.0 pts
- 3 years: 7.5 pts
- 4–5 years: 8.5 pts
- 6–8 years: 9.5 pts
- 9+ years: 10.0 pts
3. Potential & Scaling (Weight: 15%)
We analyze the maximum funded account size available. A higher maximum allocation indicates the financial strength of the partner.
- < $100,000: 4.0 pts
- $100,000 – $299,999: 6.0 pts
- $300,000 – $499,999: 8.0 pts
- $500,000 – $999,999: 9.0 pts
- ≥ $1,000,000: 10.0 pts
4. Trader Conditions (Weight: 20%)
This is a technical category in which we evaluate the real quality of the offer. It consists of three subcategories:
- Consistency Rules (40% of pillar weight): The absence of restrictive rules (e.g., single-day profit caps) is a major advantage.
- Payout Methods (30% of pillar weight): We rate highest firms offering bank transfers and payment processors (e.g., Wise, Riseworks) alongside crypto.
- Platform Choice (30% of pillar weight): The more options (MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView), the better for trader comfort.
New in 2026: Transparency Bonuses
In the 2026 algorithm update, we introduced two additional parameters (so-called „tie-breakers”) that can slightly increase the score of firms putting extra effort into transparency and customer support. Each adds +0.2 pts to the final score.
Why only this much? Because these bonuses cannot overshadow the fundamentals (offer quality, financial stability), but should reward quality when firms are at a similar service level.
1. Polish Support Bonus (+0.2 pts)
As the only ranking in Poland, we recognize firms that are friendly to Polish traders. If a firm offers Polish-language customer support or operates a Polish Branch, it gains an advantage in our ranking.
- Rationale: Easier communication and local legal support means a real increase in safety for traders in Poland.
2. „Verified Firm” Status (+0.2 pts)
We have introduced an Editorial Verification status (marked with a blue verification icon). It is awarded to firms that have undergone our independent editorial audit, granting us access to their processes and infrastructure beyond what is publicly available.
- Rationale: This bonus stems from a reduction in informational risk. A firm that is more transparent to us — and to you — is statistically a safer choice.
How to Read PropIndeks™ Colors
We have updated our color coding to better reflect the real quality of firms. We don’t want solid firms flagged with a warning color just because they aren’t industry giants.
- 🟢 9.0 – 10.0: ELITE — Absolute market leaders; highest trust and track record.
- 🔵 7.0 – 8.9: GOOD — Safe and recommended firms with an excellent offer.
- 🟡 5.0 – 6.9: AVERAGE — Newer firms or those with certain market limitations.
- 🔴 Below 5.0: RISK — Firms with very short track records or serious reputational issues.
Final Formula
All data is weighted and summed, then any applicable bonuses are added:
PropIndeks™ = (Trust × 0.40) + (Stability × 0.25) + (Potential × 0.15) + (Conditions × 0.20) + Bonuses (max 0.4)
