How Do We Calculate PropIndeks™? Full Methodology & Algorithm
We believe that in a world where you are choosing your next funded account, trust and transparency are absolute fundamentals. Our mission is simple: to provide the most reliable data on the market. That’s why, unlike other rankings, we hide nothing.
Below you will find a detailed, step-by-step description of the algorithm behind our proprietary PropIndeks™ metric. It is an integrated, mathematical, and objective measure of every prop trading firm’s strength. Our algorithm calculates the score in real time based on four main pillars.
The Four Pillars of PropIndeks™
The algorithm evaluates each firm on a scale of 1 to 10, analyzing data across four key areas. Each area has an assigned weight that determines how strongly a given parameter affects the final score.
1. Community Trust (Weight: 40%)
The voice of the market is paramount to us, which is why it makes up the largest part of the final PropIndeks™. On our review pages, we also highlight this as a separate Community Score card so you can always see accurate reputational data at a glance.
- Platform Aggregation: We fetch and average ratings from leading, independent industry platforms (Trustpilot, PropFirmMatch, TheTrustedProp).
- Normalization: The score on a 0-10 scale is transferred directly into our equation with a massive 40% weight. The better the experiences of other traders, the higher the firm’s base score.
2. Stability and Experience (Weight: 25%)
A longer time on the market means a lower risk of sudden firm closure. We reward entities that have survived various market cycles and tests of scale.
- 0 years: 2.0 pts (Everyone starts with a baseline of trust)
- 1 year: 4.0 pts
- 2 years: 6.0 pts
- 3 years: 7.5 pts
- 4-5 years: 8.5 pts
- 6-8 years: 9.5 pts
- 9+ years: 10.0 pts
3. Potential and Scaling (Weight: 15%)
We analyze how large of a funded account you can obtain. A higher maximum allocation demonstrates the financial strength and maturity of the partner.
- > $0: 4.0 pts
- $100,000 – $299,999: 6.0 pts
- $300,000 – $499,999: 8.0 pts
- $500,000 – $999,999: 9.0 pts
- ≥ $1,000,000: 10.0 pts
4. Trader Conditions (Weight: 20%)
This is a technical category where we assess the real utility of the offer and payment processes. It consists of three subcategories:
- Consistency Rules (40% of the pillar’s weight): Many firms offer several account variants, each with different rules – so we evaluate every program individually and take the average, ensuring that one restrictive variant doesn’t unfairly drag down the score for the firm’s entire offer. The complete absence of any rule limiting maximum daily profit yields maximum points (10 pts), and the higher the allowed percentage threshold, the more points awarded – see the detailed scale below.
- Payout Methods (30% of the pillar’s weight): We give the highest ratings to firms offering direct bank transfers as well as trusted global payout processors like Wise, Riseworks, or Plane (10 pts) – we treat them on par with bank transfers due to their comparable reliability and accessibility for traders. E-wallets such as PayPal/Skrill/Neteller combined with crypto support earn 7 pts, e-wallets alone earn 6 pts, and crypto-only payouts result in 3 pts.
- Platform Choice (30% of the pillar’s weight): Providing traders with flexibility: 3 or more platforms = 10 pts. 2 platforms = 7 pts. Only 1 platform = 4 pts.
Consistency Rules point scale:
| Daily profit limit | Points |
|---|---|
| up to 15% | 2.0 |
| 16–20% | 3.0 |
| 21–25% | 4.0 |
| 26–30% | 5.0 |
| 31–35% | 6.5 |
| 36–40% | 8.0 |
| 41–45% | 9.0 |
| above 45% | 9.5 |
| no rule | 10.0 |
We consider a 40% threshold to already be a common, fair market standard, so we don’t treat it as harshly as genuinely restrictive 15-20% limits, which realistically make it difficult to withdraw profits from a single great trading day.
New for 2026: Transparency Bonuses
We have introduced two additional parameters (tie-breakers) that slightly increase the score for firms putting extra effort into their service. Each adds +0.2 pts to the final score (the maximum score is capped and never exceeds 10).
1. Polish Support Bonus (+0.2 pts)
As the premier ranking in Poland, we appreciate firms that accommodate our local community. If a firm offers support in Polish or has a Polish branch, it gains extra points with us.
- Justification: Easier communication and clear native support mean a real increase in safety and convenience for local users.
2. „Verified Firm” Status (+0.2 pts)
This bonus is awarded to firms that have agreed to an in-depth verification and our independent, expert operational audit based on their internal terms and conditions.
- Justification: A bonus for reducing information risk for the trader. A firm that is more transparent to us and to you is statistically a safer choice.
How to read PropIndeks™ colors?
We have updated our color scheme for both the main metric and the Community Score cards so that they instantly reflect the firm’s real standing:
- 🟢 9.0 – 10.0: ELITE – Absolute market leaders, highest trust, and very strong fundamentals.
- 🟢 7.0 – 8.9: GOOD – Safe, highly recommended firms with a very solid offer.
- 🟡 5.0 – 6.9: AVERAGE – New firms or those with certain market limitations and mixed reviews.
- 🔴 Below 5.0: RISK – Firms with a short operational history or serious reputational and payout issues.
Final Formula
All data is summed up in real time according to the formula below, followed by any applicable bonuses:
PropIndeks™ = (Trust * 0.40) + (Experience * 0.25) + (Allocation * 0.15) + (Conditions * 0.20) + Bonuses (max 0.4)
